Project Overview
SB4 were appointed as Principal Contractor to deliver a £1.2m major refurbishment and extension of Pete’s Eat over an eight-month programme. The scheme involved significant structural alterations, transforming an existing three-storey building into a four-storey mixed-use development. The project introduced five additional luxury apartments alongside a high-end restaurant and function room, creating a modern twist on a well-established climbers’ and walkers’ hub.

Delivery Role & Project Management
SB4 acted as Principal Contractor, taking full responsibility for programme management, subcontractor coordination, and quality control across all stages of the project. Given the scale of structural change within an existing building footprint, careful planning, sequencing, and collaboration with structural engineers and specialist trades were essential to maintain programme and safety standards throughout the eight-month delivery period.
Outcome / Completion
The project was delivered successfully to programme and specification, resulting in a high-quality mixed-use development. The completed scheme provides premium residential accommodation alongside a refined hospitality offering, strengthening its position as a contemporary destination for climbers, walkers, and visitors.
